Introduction
I am an occupational therapist with expertise in medico-legal assessments and expert opinion reporting. I provide objective, evidence-based evaluations in matters relating to personal injury, including motor vehicle accidents, public liability, and medical negligence claims.
In parallel with medico-legal consulting, I maintain active clinical practice at Mediclinic Limpopo, ensuring that my opinions remain firmly anchored in current, hands-on clinical practice.
This dual engagement enables me to deliver defensible expert reports for legal proceedings, while upholding the highest standards of client-centred rehabilitation aimed at maximizing functional independence, work capacity, and quality of life.
Services
Providing expert reports and witness testimony to assist courts and attorneys in determining functional outcomes, employability and loss of earnings in matters relating to personal injury.
Conducting Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) to determine work ability, analyzing job tasks, and recommending reasonable accommodations to assist individuals back into the workforce.
Guiding individuals dealing with depression or anxiety in learning to manage their emotions and build stable daily routines. These strategies provide the foundation needed to return to work and participate confidently in the community.
Retraining the brain and body functions to work together after a stroke or head injury. This process helps patients regain the independence and daily skills needed to manage life after a neurological injury.
Fast-tracking recovery for injuries to the hands, wrists, and arms using custom splints, specialized exercises and equipment. The goal is to restore the strength and fine motor skills required for both professional work and personal care.
Prioritizing home safety by identifying fall risks and recommending easy-to-use home modifications, enabling older adults to maintain their dignity and live safely in their own homes for as long as possible.
Supporting children facing physical or learning delays to reach their developmental milestones. Therapy focuses on improving motor skills and social behavior so that kids can thrive at school and at home.
Providing support for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients to help them thrive outside the womb. This care focuses on gentle positioning, feeding techniques, and sensory regulation to protect the developing brain and support healthy growth in the first weeks of life.
I believe that the most defensible legal reports come from therapists who are actively involved in patient care. My practice is built on the pillars of objective data, evidence-based evaluations, and a commitment to documenting the true functional impact of personal injury.
